Savio Zigbi-Johnson is an artist from the Bronx, New York City, whose work explores the ways in which Humans impact and are obversely impacted by the environment. His oeuvre explores the interplay of symbiotic relationships on planet earth and beyond. He believes technology is at the core of this interaction and likes to the explore the multiplicities of its materialization and application, from foraging and regenerative farming, to artificial intelligence and bio engineering. With a medley of objects and material from in and around New York, he puzzles together a surreal universe. He hopes to help shorten the gap of our disconnect to the natural world by recognizing our inherent connection to it. Savio is currently completing his BFA in fine arts at School of Visual Arts and looks forward to adding to the collective consciousness in a positive and meaningful way.
